Guaranteed for Life

Every Jerith aluminum fence is backed by our Lifetime Warranty. This guarantee covers our products against rust, defects in workmanship and materials, as well as chipping, peeling, or cracking of the FencCoat™ finish for as long as you own your Jerith fence. We were the first fence manufacturer to include a Lifetime Warranty on its products. While other aluminum fences may offer a similar guarantee, consider why a Jerith warranty means so much more.

First, Jerith has manufactured aluminum fences for more than 45 years, so we know how well they hold up over time. Most competing products have been on the market for less than 10 years. They simply do not have the experience that we have in fencing.

Secondly, fences are the only product that Jerith make. Therefore, they concentrate all of our research and development efforts into producing the best fence possible. This is of utmost importance to our growth and success as a company.

Finally, they test there fences to back up every claim they make. This is how we grew to become the largest aluminum fence manufacturer in North America.

You must have confidence in the manufacturer of your fence or the warranty will have no value at all to you. Over the past 45 years, Jerith ha earned a reputation for delivering what we promise. And, they won an American Business Ethics Award to prove it! That is why Jerith's warranty means more to you.

Strong as Steel

Jerith's Exclusive HS-35™ Aluminum Alloy has the Strength of Steel Without the Rust.

You no longer have to choose between the maintenance-free ease of aluminum and the strength of steel for your fence. The best of both worlds is available only from Jerith. Through extensive research and testing, Jerith has developed an aluminum alloy called HS-35. This remarkable material has the strength of steel without the rust!

HS-35 Alloy has a minimum yield strength of 35,000 pounds per square inch (psi), which is significantly higher than the 25,000-33,000 psi strength found in most steel fences. Even more impressive is Jerith's advantage over other aluminum fences, which have yield strengths of only 16,000 psi.

Every post and rail in Jerith aluminum fences is extruded from exclusive HS-35 Alloy. While some aluminum fence manufacturers claim to use similar alloys, they seldom use it in both their posts and rails like we do. In addition, Jerith is the only manufacturer that uses a high strength alloy in its pickets. Our pickets are over 50% stronger than any other aluminum fence. We don't cut corners on the strength of our products!

An independent testing laboratory has proven that a typical Jerith Residential Fence can support over 350 pounds per section without any structural failure and our Industrial fence can hold over 1,000 pounds! With strength like this, Jerith fences will certainly satisfy your fencing needs for years to come.

Always look for our logo on the sections, post caps, and gates to ensure that you are receiving Jerith quality and our exclusive HS-35 Alloy. Other fences may look like Jerith, but none are as strong, durable or well-built as ours.

Can fence follow a downhill slope?

Most of our standard aluminum fence sections can follow the contour of the ground. This is called either raking or racking. The fences drop about one foot over the 6' length of a section. If a greater slope is needed, sections can be specially fabricated as "double-punched sections" to traverse a 45 degree angle. Regency "Plus" styles can not rake at all, while Concord, Lexington, and 400 Series fence can only rake about 6 inches over their length.

What is the post spacing?

For Ovation, Encore, Regency, and Patriot, the posts should be spaced 72" on-center. Industrial fence posts need a 71-1/2" spacing on-center, while Residential fences have a 72-1/2" post spacing.

What are the standard colors?

Patriot Fence is only available in black, while our aluminum fences come in a black, white or bronze finish. Finials, ball caps and scrolls are also available in a gold finish, as well as black, white or bronze.

Are custom colors available?

Yes, but there are two conditions that must be met. We can only coat custom colors from October to March (our slow season) and the job must have at least 1,000 feet of fence. Also, since custom colors can not undergo the same testing that our standard colors have passed, we can only guarantee the finish for 5 years.

What fences meet the IRC/ICC/BOCA code for swimming pool enclosures?

Here are the heights and styles of fence that meet building code requirements for fences that need to have less than 4" between pickets and 45" between rails, or less than 1-3/4" between pickets with any rail spacing:
48" tall – Ovation, 400 Series Residential
52" tall – Bravo, Symphony
54" tall – 200 Series Residential, Windsor, Windsor Plus
57" tall – Style 101 & 111 Residential, Lexington, Concord
60" tall – All Regency styles, 200/400 Series Residential,
72" tall – All Regency styles, 100/ 200/400 Series Residential, Lexington, Concord

Can the fence attach to brick columns or the side of my house?

Yes, we have wall mount castings that allow the fence sections to connect to any flat surface. These fit over the ends of the rails and attach to the flat surface with two screws. We also have adjustable wall mounts if you need to come off the flat surface at an angle up to 45 degrees.

FencCoat Finish

FencCoat - Jerith's Powder Coated Finish

Jerith's technologically-advanced powder coating system allows us to produce a high quality, long-lasting finish which is also environmentally friendly. When applied to a Jerith fence, FencCoat is twice the thickness and hardness of a typical acrylic (or "wet paint") finish. Consequently, it is far more durable, fade-resistant, and scratch-resistant than other coatings.

Since its introduction in North America almost 40 years ago, powder coating has become the fastest growing finishing technology. Powder coating contains no solvents and therefore emits negligible amounts of volatile organic compounds (VOC's) into the atmosphere. Wet paints, however, cause severe pollution, both through the emission of VOC's when they are cured and by the generation of excess paint which is considered a hazardous waste. In addition, Jerith's aluminum is prepared for its FencCoat finish with an environmentally safe pretreatment, unlike most wet paints.

To prove the durability of our powder coating, we have tested it extensively. FencCoat endured 3,000 hours of harsh salt-spray and humidity resistance, as well as 5 years of continuous exposure in Florida. Other aluminum fence manufacturers have performed similar tests on their own coatings, yet they only survived 1,000 hours of salt-spray and humidity testing and 1 year of Florida exposure (as stated in their literature). That is why we are confident enough to guarantee that our FencCoat finish will last for as long as you own your Jerith aluminum fence.

Why is Jerith Aluminum Fence better than other aluminum fences on the market?

Here is a quick list of what sets a Jerith Fence apart from the competition:

  • FencCoat Finish – withstands 3,000 hours of salt spray testing and 5 years of exposure in Florida versus 1,000 hours and 1 year for others; twice the thickness and hardness of wet paints; environmentally friendly.
  • HS-35 Alloy – used in all of our components (even the pickets) for added strength.
  • Gates – have a welded frame that allows them to support 250 lbs.; come with a standard magnetic handle latch that works every time.
  • Alloy used for castings (caps, wall mounts, finials, etc.) – more corrosion-resistant than the cheaper, more common alloys that others use.
  • Screws – have an adhesive patch to help keep them tight; square drive for added security.
  • Jerith – oldest and largest aluminum fence manufacturer; 45 years experience; third generation family business; products made in USA; most orders ship within 2 weeks.
  • Lifetime Warranty - backed by an established company that is a leader in the industry.

I need a fence next week. What can I do?

We offer five fence designs in our ExpresShip program that ship in a week or less. The available styles are 48" Black 101, 48" Black 202, 48" Black Ovation, 54" Black 200, and 54" Black 202. Order one of those designs and you should be able to get the Jerith fence you want as quick as possible!

How is the fence installed?

Jerith Aluminum Fences are installed by setting a post in concrete and sliding the horizontal rails of a section into the pre-punched holes in the post. A second post is then set at the other end of the section. A second section slides into the second post, and so on. If you need less than a full section, simply cut the rails to the size you need with a saw. Click here for the full installation instructions for Jerith Aluminum Fence.

Can the fence curve?

If your fence line bends, the sections can easily be angled in the posts to follow most curves. For a very tight curve, just cut the sections in half and put another post between the two sections. The sections themselves can not be bent without ruining their structural integrity however.

Can the fence mount on a patio/deck?

To fasten a post onto a concrete slab, we recommend that you core-drill the concrete if at all possible. We do offer deck mount castings, however, they should not be used on fences over 48" tall.

Can I use these products as railings?

Our fences are not designed to be used as railings and we will not warrant their use as a railing. Click here to see our aluminum railings.

How far apart should I space my columns so the sections will be evenly spaced?

The distance between columns is the standard post spacing multiplied by the number of sections you want between the columns, less the width of one post. For example, for three Ovation sections between columns, 3 sections times 72" (the standard post spacing) minus 2" for the post, equals 214" (17'-10") between columns, not 18' as you might expect.
